HYDERABAD: An NRI is seeking to contest on TRS ticket from the Kodad assembly seat against sitting legislator N Padmavathi, wife of state Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy. TRS is yet to announce candidates for 14 seats, including Kodad and Huzurnagar. The Huzurnagar seat is held by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy.Sudheer Jalagam, a software professional who was working in the US, came back to India more than a year ago and got involved in social work. He introduced concepts like ‘tea with headmaster’ in government schools Sources say, two more leaders are vying for the Kodad ticket. Three-time MLA V Chander Rao who had won on a TDP ticket in 1985, 1989 and 1994 is trying for a TRS candidature this time. Another aspirant is Agricultural Market Committee chairman, K Shashidhar Reddy.
